     I am a BASIS-qualified agronomist specialising in sustainable crop protection, precision agriculture and the application of drone technology within arable farming systems. My work focuses on integrating innovative technologies into crop production to improve agronomic decision-making, resource-use efficiency and environmental sustainability.

     Current Research

    My current research interests centre on the use of unmanned aerial systems (UAS) to support crop monitoring, agronomic management and agricultural research. Current projects include:

    • Lead Supervisor for a Knowledge Transfer Partnership (KTP) with Tallis Amos Group, investigating the implementation of CultiWise drone scanning technology within UK crop production systems.
    • Drone Specialist for the AHDB Variety Blends Project, supporting data collection and crop assessment activities.
    • Drone-Based Research supporting field-scale trials and environmental research projects across ÁÕÀÅÊÓÆµ.

     

    Industrial Short Courses

    I am actively involved in the delivery and management of professional development programmes for the agricultural industry. I currently serve as:

    • Course Manager for the BASIS Foundation in Agronomy and Introduction to Agronomy (Online) programmes.
    • Lecturer on the BASIS Certificate in Crop Protection, BASIS Advanced Cereals, and BASIS Plant Protection Award courses.
    • Contributor to the Marshall Papworth Programme, supporting international agricultural training and capacity building.
